Of course all manufacturers look sometimes on competitor's web sites, and so do we. But it gets curious to see fragments of our own pages copied there.

When we started with Emissionlabs in 1998, there was no manufacturer informing exactly how to burn-in tubes, but many users were as asking this by email. I published the instructions how to burn-in our 300B tubes. This procedure was written in 1998, by our factory technicians, and myself.

I was initially surprized to read recently on the Western Electric website, their burn-in advice for 300B tubes, has remarkable similarity with our 1998 procedure. Of course there is no copy right on a procedure, only on texts. So sure we agree with this, as Western Electric is a well respected company, and this makes our procedure only more valid.

We are not pleased however to see large text parts of our burn-in instruction blatantly copied by a European competitor. This madame does not even say, her tubes are made by a another company, just with her own brand on it.
