Text from Hippocrates, in his book "Bone Fractures". Published in the year 400 B.C.

I read this book, and it is such an eye opener. He was the greatest medical doctor ever known.

Without knowledge of the existence of bacteria, he writes it is important for open bone fractures, to keep the tools and environment as clean as possible. Instead of that, some would wrap the wounds in leaves, and do many other things wrong.

He writes: Great damage is done, by foolish methods, which only appear interesting.
